WHY WE CREATED THIS
This line exists because of our son, Shawn.
His diagnosis changed everything. My wife was identified as a Fragile X carrier—then her four sisters, their grandmother, and nearly half of her twelve siblings. Everyone is now better informed about health risks and reproductive choices. We later learned that carrier RNA toxicity likely caused my wife's father's aggressive cancer at just 33, leaving behind six young children. At the time, no one knew why.
With Fragile X, one diagnosis almost always reveals more. Testing costs hospitals just $100-200, but the answers ripple through entire families. After giving away nearly 10,000 awareness earrings, we've learned: small conversations matter. A question leads to a test. A test leads to answers. Those answers help people understand themselves—and each other—in profound new ways. If this display lives in your shop for years, those stories will come. We've seen it happen.
